Lamination I For Orchestra and Electronic Sounds

[NY]: MCA, [1970]. Paperback. 42pp. Wraps a bit rubbed, ink name and smudge on front, else a very good copy. One page of instrumentation notes at front, the remaining pages contain the score. Very good. Item #43196

Director of the San Francisco Tape Music Center, Subotnick composed Lamination the year after his breakthrough recording Silver Apples of the Moon and described Lamination as "Silver Apples of the Moon" with a recording going and an orchestra playing at the same time, almost the same music.

In fact, Subotnick believes that Lamination demonstrates that Silver Apples wasn't a purely 'electronic' piece, because it was able to be accompanied by an orchestra.
