Mainz: University of Mainz, 1971. 16 by 21 cm. Black printing on plain white stock. Two small hole punches on left side, one affecting the number "5", else very good. Item #29194
Original flyer for an event called “Libido Creatrix,” which was to take place on January 30th, 1971 in the cafeteria and auditorium of the University of Mainz in West Germany. The right side of the poster advertises “one fire-eater, underground movies, Ambra, Amon Düül 2, Guru Guru, and Xhol.” The final three bands are a “who’s who” of early Krautrock and a great snapshot of some important bands in their heyday, playing a show on a college campus with a five Deutschmark entry fee.
Provenance: From the persoanl collection of Eberhard Kranemann [Kraftwerk 1970-1] to Christoph Wagner, author of Der Klang der Revolte Die Magischen Jahre des Westdeutschen Musik-Underground [The Sound of Revolt The Magical Years of the Westdeutscher Musik-Underground], to the trade.
