NP: NP, ND. 25 mechanically reproduced pages, printed on rectos only, held together by a single paperclip at the top left. Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson's copy with his ownership note at the top of the first page in red. Item #26744
Pages consist of a combination of Burroughs' 1976 lecture 'It Belongs to the Cucumbers: On the subject of Raudive's Tape Voices' and an unknown article from Crawdaddy! magazine. Likely produced by Christopherson, or someone working with him, possibly P-Orridge, between 1977 and '79 and probably intended for publication at some point.
An interesting piece tying together Throbbing Gristle's interest in sound collage and Burroughs' experiments in tape cuts and EVP recordings. We've never seen anything like it, and can find no record of anything else similar aside from the text of Burroughs' lecture which was published in the Naropa anthology. If not unqiue, it seems that no more than a handful could have possibly been created.
Provenance: Purchased directly from the estate of the artist.
